Frank Koza

Frank Koza Electric Subsector Coordinator

Frank Koza is currently serving as EIS Council’s Electric Subsector Coordinator, working with leading power companies and their partners to help coordinate resilience planning for a wide range of hazard scenarios. 

Previous to joining the Council, Mr. Koza retired in 2017 after a 45-year career in the power industry and am now doing part-time consulting work, including work with the EIS Council.   Prior to retirement, Frank was the Executive Director of Infrastructure Planning at PJM, the world’s largest electricity operator.  He worked at PJM for 16 years, in system operations and system planning, during which time he was Chair of the NERC Geomagnetic Disturbance Task Force and Standard Drafting Team, and the former Chair of the NERC Operating Reliability Subcommittee.

Prior to PJM, Frank worked for 29 years at Exelon/PECO Energy in a variety of assignments including construction of fossil and nuclear generation facilities, construction and maintenance of transmission, system planning, and system operations.
